Mica Chalyn Pierce aka Kilo Paris is a talented hip hop Artist, born in Camden New Jersey on July 14, 1998. Kilo expressed an interest in music early in his childhood and he started playing the piano at the age of three (3). He moved from New Jersey to Erie Pennsylvania in 1998 but was back and forth so it was like he never left and was enrolled in piano class at the age of three (3). He started in Kindergarten and continued through the fourth grade. He graduated from the Suzuki class with his final Recital that was based on Classical Music by Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Mozart. He moved to Michigan in 2007 and started school in the Grand Blanc school system (4th grade).
Kilo idolized Michael Jackson and imitated MJ’s singing and dancing in the family room mirror and performed around the house. Also, he was inspired by Usher, Snoop Dog, Dr. Dre, and other old school artists. He became interested in Hip-Hop at the age of 10 and convinced his Grandfather to let him work with a local programmer and that is when it became apparent that he had potential.
Shortly after working with the programmer, he was one of the artists invited to perform at one of the local restaurants, and Kilo was the star of the group. Shortly after that, he was invited to 106-park in New York City and he and his Grandfather made the trip. Kilo had a great time in New York walking around Central Park and enjoying the many sights in the City. He learned a great deal from the experience as well as the opportunity to audition and work with the Executives at the venue.
Kilo spent some time in North Carolina and Los Angeles working in the Studio with multiple producers and recording numerous tracks such as Midwest, Holla at me, O.M.W freestyle and meeting label Executives.
