Dejah’ E – That Button

Midwest artist Dejah’E blends genres to create “Hip-Pop” music with upcoming album “Mark My Words”
RACINE, WI – Dejah’E, a young R&B artist from Wisconsin, is hardly new to the music game. She has worked with Grammy award winning producer, Greg Lawson and one of Chris Brown’s producers, Steve Russel, and performed for Grammy award winning producers Hit-Boy and Johnny Wright. Bringing a classic 90s vibe with a modern twist, this fresh singer delivers a new mix of R&B and Pop which she refers to as “Hip-Pop.”
With a style characterized by sweet melodies and harmonies coupled with a catchy beat and expressive vocals, Dejah’E is finishing up her debut album, “Mark My Words.” A project two years in the making and recorded in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Milwaukee, the 17 song album is slated for release in early 2020 on all digital streaming channels. The project features music written by her and her producers Jaray James (of Mayweather’s “The Money Team”), Donye’a Goodin, Chris Milly, Waive Boy and StarChild Productions (recently nominated for two Grammys on Chris Brown’s latest project). “I love working with these guys,” Dejah’E said. “They’re all so talented and we vibe so well together. They each bring out a different side of me, which I think is dope because my fans are able to hear all the different sides to me, too.” Surrounded by so much Grammy star power, Dejah’E is destined to win a Grammy herself.
“Mark My Words” will provide fans with a varied mix of songs, including the Caribbean styled, richly harmonic track, “Apology.” The wildly catchy “Fallin Back” written by the artist two years ago, is perfect for cruising in the car. Another standout track, “That Button” will be released as a single soon, accompanied by a major production music video.
In 2017, Dejah’E recorded her first song, “Slow” as a solo artist and has always brought authenticity into her work. “I bring a realness that’s not really shown in the industry any more. I’m just completely myself, completely real and open,” Dejah’E said. Her debut single was well received and she has built on that success. Her new music reflects her growth as an artist – her vocals have grown stronger, she now uses custom, original beats from her producers, and her harmonies are more refined. Over ten years of piano playing has given Dejah’E the unique ability to sing chords off the top of her head, aiding the singer with her backgrounds and harmonies.
Growing up in Racine, a small town on the shores of Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Chicago, Dejah’E first discovered her love of music in church. At eight years old, she took up the violin, followed by piano which came to her naturally. From 14 into her late teens, Dejah’E performed as a member of different girl groups that she formed. Over the years, her musical influences included Chris Brown, Michael Jackson, Jhene Aiko and Aaliyah and at 21, she launched her solo career with the release of her debut single, “Slow.”
Dejah’E owns an independent label called LA Rich Entertainment with her father and manager, Richard Warren, and this team shows no signs of slowing down. Filming for the “That Button” music video will be happening in a Milwaukee nightclub under the direction of Philly Fly Boy at the end of next month. Additionally, to follow the album release, Dejah’E plans to drop an EP by next summer.

(Video) Star2 x Sprite – “One Of A Kind”
Step into the cinematic world of “One Of A Kind”, a gripping secret agent story brought to life by pop-rap innovator Star2 and Thai superstar SPRITE.The music video follows SPRITE and Star2 as they take on the roles of stealthy operatives hired by a rich businessman to free his kidnapped daughter from shadowy captors. Dressed in tactical ninja attire that fuses street style with spycraft, they engage in a high stakes mission to track down their targets and bring the daughter to safety. Their daring escape unfolds on a longboat gliding through Bangkok’s iconic Chao Phraya River. SPRITE displays his rap talent and rapid-fire lyrics. Star2 complements him with his emotional delivery and trademark melodic style. Beyond the action packed visuals, their collaboration weaves a poignant narrative that reflects on shared struggles with poverty, early age responsibilities, and the challenges of rising to fame.
Star2, a fan of SPRITE, reached out to collaborate after releasing a single with Luh Kel called “I Wanna Get F’d Up” – coincidentally, SPRITE’s favorite artist since Luh Kel’s hit song “Wrong” – leading to an introduction and, as fate would have it, a collaboration in Thailand where the trio filmed “Where Would You Go?” (out on January 17, 2025), while Star2 and SPRITE also created “One of a Kind”.
