50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop Story x PR Guru Savannah Britt @sav_britt
Savannah Britt, public relations guru and thought leader, has helped shape the identity of some of the biggest talent and brands across the fashion and music spaces. While attending Rutgers University, she jump started her agency The Brittprint, from her college dorm room. Using her know-how for social media she garnered a clientele roster from utilizing social media, attending events in the city, and making a name for herself.
One of her most memorable early moments was sending a PR pitch out for Madeintyo’s “I Want” music video before running to class, and returning from the day to see the media coverage it garnered. Even as a college student juggling her own budding business, her passion for the culture saw no limits.
To date, Britt still runs The Brittprint. With a focus in public relations, marketing, and creative strategy, the agency has cultivated relevant work with clients such as Burna Boy, DJ Khaled, Gucci Mane, Ryan Leslie, 2 Chainz, Lil Yachty, Smoke DZA, Alessia Cara, Victoria Kimani, 24hrs, Desean Jackson, Madeintyo, Pappy Kojo, Pelle Pelle and more.
In October 2019, Savannah and her team temporarily relocated to Lagos, Nigeria to establish the agency’s footprint in the Motherland. Prior to the move, they had been working from a satellite position with various African stars–providing a bridge between Nollywood and the hip-hop world. Savannah decided to make the move in hopes of providing resources and expertise in an entertainment market that sits as the second biggest entertainment hub in the world. Since journeying to the Sub Saharan, The Brittprint has done activations with Beats By Dre, Afrochella, True Religion, and more.
Savannah is currently based in New York City. When she’s not making PR campaigns hit, she’s exploring her talents as an A&R, speaking on symposiums like Harvard University or ASALH’s (The Founders of Black History Month) Annual Meeting & Conference, and running her non-profit organization Diaspora Dialed In that focuses on informing and organizing around Black African Diaspora centered environmental, social, advocacy and human rights work.

(Video) Star2 x Seko – “Once in a While” @Star2Official
Thai refugee artists Star2 and Seko release “Once In A While”, the heartfelt new single and music video. Both born in the Mae La refugee camp in Thailand, the artists draw on their rich cultural heritage with the song almost entirely sung in the Ka-ren language and the music video filmed in Thailand.
“Once In A While” features poignant lyrics that reflect the deep emotions of longing and love, such as “My tears I secretly wipe them away by myself / I love you so much, so whatever you say is never wrong / I’ll chase after you over a hundred times”. Tugging at your heartstrings, the song is beautifully layered with rich harmonies, delicate piano notes, and a backdrop of female vocals that evoke a sense of connection that feels both intimate and distant. As both artists deliver their verses with raw, unfiltered emotion, the feeling of lost love is one that is never forgotten.
Refugee pop meets hip hop artist Star2 fled his refugee camp as a child when the Burmese Army destroyed their village and attacked them in the middle of the night. Faced with overwhelming heartache and loss growing up, Star2 found his solace in music. He has collaborated with the likes of Soulja Boy, $tupid Young, Mozzy, MBNel, Luh Kel, Lil Poppa, HoodTrophy Bino, YSN Flow, and MarMar Oso just to name a few. Now, Star2 is on a mission to elevate the next generation of Ka-ren and Asian Artists.

Bronx, NY native CNRD links with Grand Khai for “Emotionless.” Performing over a spectral sounding instrumental, the pair deliver a relatable heartbreak tune that taps themes of betrayal and bluffs. Filled with thoughtful bars and emotive melodies, listeners take a journey through the ironic inner workings of a man who’s in fact encapsulated with emotion.
